FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions (with answers!)

On some computers when you first time start ACE Cutting optimiser all buttons in the main menu of the program may have no text shown inside them or font size is to big to fit. Also error message shown below may come up on program start up.


Please follow next steps to resolve this issue:

1. Click Start, point to Run..., and then type "C:\Windows\Fonts" (for Win 95,98 and XP) or "C:\WINNT\Fonts" (for Win NT and 2000) and then click OK.
2. Insure that "Arial Narrow" fonts is in the list of fonts (see screen below for details).
   
3. Reboot computer
4. Run ACE Cutting optimiser again. All buttons in the main menu must have text fully visible inside them.

When you try to install a Microsoft Access 2002 runtime deployment package on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 98, the installation may fail and you may receive the following error message:

    The Office System Pack cannot be installed on this system because the languages are not the same.
    Install the Office System Pack for the appropriate language on your computer.
    For assistance, contact your application provider.

RESOLUTION:
To work around the problem by modifying the Regional Settings on the destination computer, follow these steps:
a.  Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
b.  In Control Panel, double-click Regional Settings.
c.  On the Regional Settings tab, click the language in the list and change it to English.
d.  Click Apply, and then click OK.
e.  Restart the computer.
f.  Install the ACE Cutting optimiser.
